    1. I had Cyanogen mod on my S3, it ran like ass so I’ve taken it off and put the original Samsung Firmware on it, and it’s even worse, won’t stay on for over a minute without freezing. Going to send it to Samsung hopefully they will repair it.

  1. my s3 wasnt turning on before i did this, now it turns on but it freezes in the metro logo what can i do to fix this?

Did you choose the appropriate firmware for your device? Sometimes choosing a firmware that’s not available for your location can cause this kind of issues.

It doesn’t matter what Android version you have, just select the appropriate firmware from the source page and flash it on your device using Odin.

I guess you’ll have the Jelly Bean firmware available on the Stock Firmware page.

  2. I am stuck on metropcs logo screen after running firmware I noticed afterward region is Canada (metro pcs), is that why this happened, is there a firmware for USA metro pcs.

    1. Mahesh Makvana

You should have selected appropriate firmware for your device. If you’re in the US and selected the Canadian firmware, that could be the reason of your device being stuck at the logo.

Just re-flash the USA version of the firmware and you should be fine!

  3. I did all the steps that was said to do and the phone restarts but stays on the screen with the metro pcs screen.. any idea what could be happening ?

  4. If I turned off my device into download mode and it says custom is official, will this still work on my samsung galaxy s3 and I have 4.3 jelly bean? I didn’t root my phone, what I did was clicked settings, about device, and I did a software update from 4.1 to 4.3. Will it still work if I try going back to the official software. How do I do that?
