How to Flash a Custom Recovery on the Motorola Droid Pro
Don’t like being stuck at Gingerbread and want to upgrade to a newer firmware with a custom ROM? No problem, we’ll help you do just that. Even though the Motorola Droid Pro’s got great specifications, it hasn’t gotten much in its software site and that’s the truth. However, the Android Community out there has always been serving latest and greatest goodies to such device users and in this case, they (ClockworkMod) has brought their amazing custom recovery for the aforementioned device. A custom recovery like ClockworkMod allows installation of custom ROMs and Mods to maximize the usability of your device and this guide shows exactly how you can install ClockworkMod Recovery on your Motorola Droid Pro smartphone. Here you go:
I. Before You Begin:
1. You must have done our How to Root the Motorola Droid Pro procedure.
2. This will install the official CWM Recovery on your device.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. ROM Manager — QR Code (Google Play Link)
III. Installing ClockworkMod Recovery on the Motorola Droid Pro:
1. Download and install the ROM Manager app on your device using the link provided above.
2. Once installed, open it from your App Drawer.
3. Look for the option that says Flash ClockworkMod Recovery and tap it.
4. It’ll ask you to select your device from the list of supported devices. Just tap on your device name.
5. It’ll then download and install the recovery on your device.
6. Once it’s done, reboot your device.
7. And you’re all set!

the droid pro is NOT listed. So?
It is not listed under devices…has this been tested before?
Same here. The CWM app specifically says there is no support for the Droid Pro, and since the model is so old, I doubt there ever will be. Don’t bother downloading this app for the Pro.
