AT&T Turns on the 4G LTE In New Areas, Expands Coverage for Continued Growth

Good news for AT&T users living in select portions of the Eastern states, as the carrier has announced that its 4G LTE network is now live in several new locations. This will bring fortunate AT&T customers faster data speeds as part of the 4G perks. New cities now covered by the 4G LTE blanket are listed below:

  • Sebring, Fla.
  • Athens, Ohio
  • Dyersburg and Ripley, Tenn.

AT&T also expanded coverage in Waterbury and Meriden, Conn. which includes portions of Cheshire, Meriden, Prospect, Waterbury and Wolcott.

The carrier expects its LTE service to cover 250 million people by the end of 2013 and 300 million people by the end of 2014. We’ll continue to keep you updated as AT&T progresses in their growth. Any of our readers live in the new coverage areas?
