How to Root the LG Optimus Logic

Good news for the LG Optimus Logic users as you can now root your device to enjoy thousands of root-only apps available out there. It also includes a custom recovery and this makes it really MUST to do procedure. With a custom recovery like ClockworkMod, you can flash custom ROMs and Mods, something you can’t do with just root. So, if you’re ready, then get onto the guide below to learn how to root the LG Optimus Logic smartphone.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You’re gonna void the warranty of your device by rooting it. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. This works on the Windows based PCs only.

3. This should also install a custom recovery on your device.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Root Package

III. Rooting the LG Optimus Logic:

1. Download and place the Root Package archive onto your Desktop.

2. Extract files from the archive over to your Desktop.

3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.

4. Enable the Unknown sources option as well from Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Unknown sources.

5. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.

6. Double-click on the OneClick-Root-CWM.bat file you extracted earlier to your Desktop.

7. Follow the on-screen instructions.

8. And you’re all set!

Congrats! Your Optimus Logic has been successfully rooted and is equipped with a custom recovery. You should now be able to install root-only apps as well as flash custom ROMs with custom recovery!

      Hey Eric,

I’m having trouble the installer “one click root” its not working. Also. wat do you guys mean when u say plug device directly. to a computer not a usb hub??? I’m confused!

        1. “plug device directly to a computer not a usb hub” means exactly that. Take a USB cable and plug it into your phone, and take the other end and plug it into your computer. A USB Hub comes in handy if you have lots of USB devices to connect to the computer, but your computer doesn’t have enough USB ports. The USB Hub is a device with 4 or 5 USB ports. You connect the USB Hub to a USB port on the computer, and the Hub then gives you 4 or 5 more USB ports to use. So, when you are rooting your phone, Do Not Use a USB Hub. Connect the phone directly to the computer.

  1. What if I need to unroot my LG Optimus Logic? I’ve searched Google and cannot find a procedure. I found plenty for unrooting the Optimus S LS670 and the Optimus Sol E730, but none for the Optimus Logic. Will the procedures for the other Optimus models work on an Optimus Logic, or will they brick my phone?

    1. Mahesh Makvana

We don’t recommend following unroot methods for any other device as they may brick your device. Use only those methods that have been confirmed to be working on your device.

      Hope it helps!

  2. I also would like to know how to unroot my lg optimus logic. I used the above method to root it but need to send my phone in for the screen getting cracked. How do I unroot?

    1. Mahesh Makvana

Unfortunately we haven’t come across any Unroot method, yet. So you might want to wait for some time until we find an Unroot method for the device.

  3. what version of the custom CWM does this one click install? ROM manager wants to know what version under the confirm phone model. i click the device not listed above, and it pops up a window that says confirm version clockworkmod 2.X or 3.X+?

    1. okay i figured out how to get into the cwm recovery, and it shows version 5.8.4.5. does that mean that i choose the 3.X+ meaning 3.x and up?

  4. havein problem to extracted file to desktop after doing 1-5 tried running program it keeps say pathway not specified it say device found then clicked space to continue an phone still not rooted HELP
