It’s an extremely easy process to root the device and here’s how you can do that:

I. Before You Begin:

2. This should work on Windows based PCs only.

3. You should have appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, you can download them from here.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. LG Esteem Root

III. Rooting the LG Optimus Q (Straight Talk):

1. Place the Esteem Root archive onto your Desktop.

2. Unzip files from the archive over to your Desktop.

3. Enable the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.

4. Connect your device to your PC via USB cable.

5. Double-click on run.bat file you extracted earlier to your Desktop.

  1. NVM , You have to go to LG website and download the drivers for this phone , Then you have to make sure you select Charging mode only , NOT MASS STORAGE MODE!!!

  2. Remember to enable USB debugging in the development options under applications in the settings. Also, no need to kill and restart the exploit, simply enable debugging and it will work correctly.
