How to Flash a Custom Recovery on the Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE (SPH-L300)
If you’re planning to install some custom ROMs on your Android device, then the first thing you’re gonna require is a custom recovery. Fortunately, the ClockworkMod — a custom recovery — is available for the users of Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE and this guide shows how you can flash it on your device so you can enjoy custom ROMs. The procedure won’t take more than a few minutes and is darn easy to follow, here you go:
I. Before You Begin:
1. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. Check out our How to Root the Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE procedure to root your device.
2. This should replace your current recovery with the CWM Recovery.
II. Downloading Required Files:

III. Flashing a Custom Recovery on the Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE (SPH-L300):
1. Download and place both the files onto your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the Odin archive over to your Desktop.
3. Double-click on the Odin executable file and it’ll launch.
4. Click PDA and select the CWM Recovery file you downloaded earlier to your Desktop.
5. Checkmark the boxes labeled as Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time, leave the Repartition box unchecked.
6. Turn OFF your device.
7. Turn it back on by holding down the Volume DOWN+Home+Power buttons together. It should get your device into Download mode.
8. Once inside Download mode, connect your device to your PC via USB cable.
9. Click Start in Odin and it’ll start flashing the recovery.
10. Once the recovery’s been flashed, your device will automatically reboot.
11. You’re all set!
Excellent! Your device’s been successfully equipped with a custom recovery and you can use it to flash custom ROMs right away!

this soft bricked my virgin victory… i can get into my twps menu but trying to regular boot gives me a fuzzy rainbow chrome static screen that repeatedly tries to reboot… wtf:/
Well, that only happens when the procedure isn’t done correctly.
Are you sure the device you have is SPH-L300?
