HTC Leaks Out Two New Android 4.3 Features: Bluetooth Low Energy and Open GL ES 3.0

HTC plans to host a meet up event on Thursday, May 16th, and will explain two Android 4.3 features that users can look forward too. These two features are Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and Open GL ES 3.0.

Bluetooth Low Energy is aimed at “always on devices.” There are some devices that have supported this through their own Bluetooth stack, but now it will be officially in the new Android version.

Open GL ES 3.0 is the latest in mobile graphics specs. The Qualcomm 600 processors now have support for the new Open GL, and we’re just waiting for mobile games to start using it.

So while HTC didn’t blow our socks off with these two new features, it’s always good to get an idea of what’s Key Lime Pie holds for us. What do you want to see out of Android 4.3, tell us in the comments below.
