How to Root the Asus Eee Pad Slider

Asus has lately been coming with its Eee Pad lineup of tablets, and the Asus Eee Pad Slider is one of them. At a glance, the device looks like its predecessor, the Asus Transformer, but if you look carefully, you’ll find a new design as well as some changes in the software side. If you just couldn’t stop yourself from getting this awesome device and you just purchased one, then you’d probably like to root it. Having your device rooted would let you enjoy some apps, called as root-only apps, that are exclusively available for rooted devices. They bring such great functions that you’d never see in any normal apps out there. So, if you’ve made your mind and want to root your Asus Eee Pad Slider, then the guide below is all you need.

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. This works on the ASUS Slider SL101 (8.6.5.18) version only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Razorclaw App (Download link’s available in the first post)

III. Rooting the Asus Eee Pad Slider:

1. Get the app using the link given above and place it on your Desktop.

2. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.

3. Copy the app over to the root of your SD card.

4. Once the app has been copied, disconnect your device from your PC.

5. Head to Menu>>Settings>>Applications on your device and enable the Unknown sources option.

6. Now open the File Manager app and install the Razorclaw app you just copied to your device.

7. Once installed, launch it from your App Drawer.

8. Hit Root option in the app and it’ll root your device.

9. Reboot your device once it’s rooted.

10. And you’re all done!

Excellent! You’ve successfully rooted your Asus Eee Pad Slider and you’re now free to enjoy any of your favorite root-only apps on your device!

IV. Flash a Custom Recovery Image (Optional):
