How to Root the Samsung Galaxy Note (T-Mobile)

T-Mobile has been offering the Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone in its stores and if you were the lucky one to buy it, then you’d be glad to know that you’ve made the right choice by buying this phablet. A root method has just become available for the device and that means you will have much more freedom to do things on your device than before. It’s dead easy to root your device, here’s how:

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. This should work on Windows based PCs only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. ClockworkMod Touch Recovery

2. Odin

3. Superuser

III. Flashing a Custom Recovery on the Samsung Galaxy Note (T-Mobile):

1. Place all three files you downloaded to your Desktop.

2. Unzip files from Odin archive over to your Desktop.

3. Double-click on the Odin executable file and it’ll open.

4. Click on PDA and select the ClockworkMod Touch Recovery file in it.

5. Make sure that only Auto Reboot and F. Reset time boxes are checked in the tool.

6. Turn OFF your device.

7. Turn it back on in download mode by holding down the Volume UP+Volume DOWN+Power buttons together.

8. Press the Volume UP button to continue to Download mode.

9. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

10. Hit Start in Odin and it’ll begin flashing the file on your device.

11. Once the recovery’s been flashed, reboot your device.

12. You’re done!

Brilliant! You’ve successfully flashed a custom recovery on your device, let’s see how you can root it:

IV. Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Note (T-Mobile):

1. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.

2. Copy the Superuser ZIP over to the root of your SD card.

3. Once it’s been copied, unplug your device from your PC.

4. Turn OFF your device.

5. Turn it back on by holding down Volume UP+Power buttons together.

6. Your device should reboot into Recovery mode.

7. From there, select install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip from sdcard.

8. Choose the Superuser ZIP to be flashed on your device.

9. Once the flashing’s done, you should be rooted!

10. You’re done!

Excellent! Your Samsung Galaxy Note on T-Mobile has been successfully rooted and equipped with a custom recovery. Now go ahead and do all what you ever wanted to do with your device!
