How to Unroot the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE

Have you had enough playing with your rooted HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE? Want to unroote and get it back to stock so you can reinstate your warranty? No worries, here’s how you can do that. Unrooting helps you reinstate your warranty and thus makes your device service center friendly. Here’s how you can unroot your HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE smartphone:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. Make sure your device has at least 70% of battery life left.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. AIO Toolkit (Download link’s available in the first post)

2. Stock RUU (Download link’s given in the first post)

III. Relocking Bootloader of the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE:

1. Download and place both the files onto your Desktop.

2. Extract files from AIO Toolkit archive over to your Desktop.

3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Developer options>>USB debugging.

4. Once it’s been enabled, plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.

5. Double-click on Toolkit’s executable file and it’ll launch.

6. Click on Boot into Bootloader option available in Commands section and hit Do Command.

7. Your device should reboot into the bootloader mode.

8. Now click on Relock Bootloader option and hit Do Command.

9. It’ll relock the bootloader of your device.

10. You’re done!

IV. Unrooting the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE:

1. Ensure that USB debugging is enabled on your device and your device’s connected to your PC.

2. Double-click on Stock RUU executable file and it’ll launch.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to flash the stock firmware.

4. Once the firmware’s been flashed, reboot your device.

5. You’re all done!

Brilliant! You’ve successfully unrooted your device and you’re now running the official stock firmware on your device!
