How to Flash a Custom Recovery on the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus

Wish if you could install some custom ROMs and Mods on your Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus? Well, it’s possible now and all thanks to the ClockworkMod Recovery. With the availability of CWM Recovery for our device, you can now flash any flashable content on your device, be it a custom ROM or a mod. Let us show you how you can flash this CWM Recovery on your Galaxy Pocket Plus:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. Please head to our How to Root the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus procedure first and root your device.

2. Make sure your device has at least 60% of battery life left.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. ClockworkMod Recovery Image (Download link’s given at the end of the first post)

2. Terminal EmulatorQR Code (Google Play Link)

III. Flashing a Custom Recovery on the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus:

1. Download and place the ClockworkMod Recovery Image on your Desktop.

2. Head over to the Google Play and download and install the Terminal Emulator app on your device.

3. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.

4. Copy the Recovery Image over to the root of your SD card.

5. Once it’s been copied, disconnect your device from your PC.

6. Launch the Terminal Emulator app from your App Drawer.

7. Type in following commands into the app:

su
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6

8. It’ll flash the CWM Recovery on your device

9. Once the recovery’s been flashed, reboot your device.

10. You’re all done!

Brilliant! Your device’s been successfully equipped with a custom recovery to enable you to flash ROMs and Mods!
