Verizon Galaxy S4 Gets Rooted Again

The last update for the Verizon Galaxy S4 (build VRUAME7) patched up the previously released root and bootloader bypass exploits.  As you can imagine not too many people were jumping for joy. With that update, a multitude of GS4 users hit the developer forums hard begging for someone to find a new exploit. While this root does require a successful recovery flash we are still in better shape than before.

Well known XDA members DooMLoRD and PWM978 teamed up so that you can now root your device via microSD card, a terminal emulator app on your phone, and a few files. This method does not wipe your phone or ask that you flash a pre-rooted factory image and should only take a few moments to complete.

So, if you’re interested in rooting your GS4, you can find the entire guide at the XDA link below.

    1. Yea, I hear ya. Kept mine all of 3 days. Couldn’t stand not being able to make/receive calls and texts in my house. Back to MOTO for me! They have the best radios in the biz!
