Google Launches Newly Redesigned Zagat Android and iOS Apps

Shortly after Google acquired Zagat, it not only infused their Maps into the brand but also redesigned Zagat’s mobile apps for both Android and iOS mobile platforms. The Google team didn’t stop there and also overhauled the desktop version as well.

Users can still use the app and desktop Zagat to locate venues with searches and map-based browsing. As part of the redesign, Google removed a registration requirement that was previously necessary to peruse reviews online. Currently users can only search for points of interests like restaurants and nightlife in nine cities, but will include hotels, shopping and other points of interest in a total of 50 US cities over the coming months.

  1. Being able to search for places in about 50 US cities is still great. I love the fact that Google has removed registration requirements for searching online reviews from the newly redesigned Zagat Mobile Apps.
