How to Unroot the Micromax Canvas 2 Plus

So you’ve had enough playing with your Micromax Canvas 2 Plus and now wish to unroot it? Probably to get back the lost warranty and maybe start everything over. Whatever be the case, let us show you how you can unroot your device and get it back to stock.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. Make sure you’ve proper drivers installed on your PC. If you haven’t, get them from here.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. SP Flash Tool (Download link’s given in the third post)

2. Stock ROM (Download link’s given in the third post)

III. Unrooting the Micromax Canvas 2 Plus:

1. Download and place both the files on your Desktop.

2. Extract files from both the archives over to your Desktop.

3. Double-click on the SP Flash Tool executable file and it’ll launch.

4. Click on Scatter-loading button and select the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt file you got from the ROM archive.

5. Power OFF your deivce.

6. Hit Download button in the tool.

7. Plug in your device in turned OFF condition to your PC.

8. And it’ll start flashing the Stock ROM on your device.

9. Since you’re flashing an entire firmware, it’ll take some good time to finish the job.

10. Once the firmware has been flashed, reboot your device.

11. You’re all done!

Brilliant! You’ve successfully unrooted your device and you’re back to the stock firmware!
