How to Unroot the Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G

Sending in your device for warranty reasons? Make sure you unroot it first as it’ll reinstate your warranty and make your device service center friendly. We used Framaroot app to root the device and we’ll be using the same app for unrooting as well. So here’s how you can go about unrooting your Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you used any other method to root your device, this procedure might not work for you.

2. Your device should have at least 30% of battery life left.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Framaroot APK (It’s attached in the first post)

III. Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G:

1. Place the Framaroot APK file you downloaded to your Desktop.

2. Connect your device to your PC via USB cable.

3. Copy the APK file over to the root of your SD card.

4. Once it’s been copied, disconnect your device from your PC.

5. Head to Menu>>Settings>>Applications on your device and enable the Unknown sources option.

6. Open the File Manager app on your device and install the app you copied earlier to your device.

7. Once the app’s been installed, open it from your App Drawer.

8. Select Unroot from the first dropdown menu in the app.

9. Hit Aragorn button and it’ll start unrooting your device.

10. You should be unrooted in no time.

11. And you’re all done!
