How to Root the Alcatel One Touch T’Pop OT-4010A

Got a brand new Alcatel One Touch T’Pop OT-4010A smartphone as a gift this Christmas? Want to root it to get access to a number of root-only apps? No problem. This guide should help you do just that.

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. This should only work on Windows based PCs.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Download the rooting file and save it to your desktop:

Ishuaji Root

III. Rooting the Alcatel One Touch T’Pop OT-4010A:

1. Double-click on the app’s executable file and follow the installation instructions.

2. Once the installation is complete, double-click the app to open it.

3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu > Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging.

4. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

5. Now hit that little green button which appears in the bottom-right corner of the app.

6. It should start rooting your device.

7. You should now be rooted!

Excellent! Your device’s been successfully rooted and you’re all set to enjoy the custom goodness on your device!

  1. I rooted using Kingo root and deleted some apps. Rooting was successful. However, I unrooted to get the Playstore app as I’d deleted it. After unrooting I rebooted. Now the phone is stuck in boot loop. Have no idea what to do. Wiped cache, and rebooted like a hundred times. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
P.S. I didn’t do anything else other than root then unroot. I don’t know how to flash rom but that was where I was going next so I guess it would’ve happened anyway 🙂 Any help is appreciated. Thanks

    1. did you try taking out the sim and booting it. When I was stuck in boot loops some one in xda developers suggested it and it worked like a charm. So now if I flash and have that issues I take out the sim and boot before I start freaking out 🙂

      1. Hiya. I don’t think I had tried that. I got it fixed at a repair shop and it didn’t cost much. It took about ten minutes to fix, I wish I knew how they did it. I don’t think I’ll be rooting again any time soon 🙂 Thanks for the suggestion.

  2. Oh, I didn’t do anything else other than root then unroot. I don’t know how to flash rom but that was where I was going next so I guess it would’ve happened anyway 🙂 Any help is appreciated. Thanks
