How to Unroot the Samsung Galaxy Proclaim

Maybe you just went a bit too far customizing your device? Maybe you want to start everything over? Either way, this guide should help you. Unrooting your Galaxy Proclaim will get it back to stock firmware so you can have the fresh start. Here’s how:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. You must have CWM Recovery installed on your device. Our guide on the same should help you do that.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Download the unroot package and save it to your desktop.

III. Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy Proclaim:

1. Extract files from the archive by right-clicking the unroot package and clicking extract all.

2. Connect your device to your PC via USB cable.

3. Copy all the files you extracted from the archive over to the root of your SD card.

4. Once all the files have been copied, disconnect your device from your PC.

5. Head over to the Google Play and download and install the Quick Boot app on your device.

6. Once the app’s been installed, launch it from your App Drawer.

7. Hit the Recovery option in the app and your device will reboot into the recovery mode.

8. Once in Recovery, select backup and restore followed by restore.

9. Choose the backup dated 2005-01-01.00.00.26.

10. Follow the on-screen instructions.

11. It should start restoring your device to the backup you selected above.

12. Once the backup’s been restored, reboot your device.

13. You’re all done!

Brilliant! Your device’s been successfully unrooted and is now running the official stock firmware!
