How to Close All Safari Tabs at Once in iOS 7 (Video)

Safari tabs tend to pile up which can awaken the dormant OCD in all of us. When I have more than four Safari tabs, I usually open the tab drawer, and tap the X on each tab to close them. However, more often than not, I’ll open the tab I’m trying to close by mistake because the X is so small, which means going back to the tab drawer and trying all over again. Do that often enough and you’ll know how frustrating that can get. Thankfully, CloseAll is a tweak that makes it extremely easy to close all Safari tabs in one go. Check out the instructions and video below for the tweak!

I. Jailbreak your iPhone/iPad

To do this procedure you must be jailbroken. If you aren’t, you can head to our Jailbreak How To’s section and pick the jailbreak for your version of iOS (currently at the time of writing this is 7.0.4). Once done with that procedure and you have Cydia installed, head back here to continue.

II. Install CloseAll

1. Open Cydia (if it isn’t still open from the section above).

2. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.

3. Type in CloseAll.

4. Tap on CloseAll when it shows up.

5. Tap Install in the top right corner.

6. Tap Confirm in the top right corner.

7. Tap Restart.

III. Use CloseAll

1. Open Safari.

2. Tap the tab button on the bottom right.

3. Tap and hold the X on the top left of any tab for about 3 seconds.

4. Take your finger off the screen, and all open tabs will close.
