How to Unroot the Oppo R815T Clover

No matter how attached you are to root-access on your Oppo R815T Clover, the day will come when you want to unroot your device. You might be doing so because you want to sell your device, or maybe you just want to get rid of those root-only apps that interact with your system files every now and then. For you, here’s the procedure to unroot your device.

Unrooting is the process of removing root access, a custom recovery (if you have one), and just trying to get the device back to as close to stock as possible.

Some of the reasons for unrooting your Oppo R815T Clover are:

• Sending in the device for warranty (most, but not all unrooting procedures reinstate the manufacturer warranty if you had one before rooting).
• Starting over (simply undoing everything you did while rooted so you can have a clean slate to start over).
• Fix any issues (Maybe rooting messed something up? No problem, unrooting will take care of it for you).

Ready to get started? Here’s how to unroot the Oppo R815T Clover:

I. Before You Begin

1. You should’ve rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you didn’t use it to root your device, this procedure may or may not work for you.

2. This won’t flash the stock firmware on your device.

II. Downloading Required Files

1. Download Framaroot APK and save it to your desktop.

III. Unrooting the Oppo R815T Clover

1. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

2. Copy Framaroot from your desktop over to the root of your SD card.

3. Once it’s copied, unplug your device from your PC.

4. Enable Unknown sources on your device by heading to Menu > Settings > Security > Unknown sources.

5. Open File Manager and install the Framaroot app on your device.

6. Once installed, launch it from your App Drawer.

7. Select Unroot from the first dropdown menu.

8. Tap on Boromir from the exploits list available on your screen.

9. It should begin unrooting your device.

10. When it’s done, you should be unrooted.
