How to Reset the LG G Watch

You broke it. Your LG G Watch isn’t quite working the way it used to and you’re not sure what to do. It’s probably time to reset the watch. Thankfully, Android has a pretty easy way to reset everything and start from scratch and since this Android Wear, it’s just as easy if just in a different location.

This type of a reset is known as a soft reset in that it doesn’t reload the entire operating system, but instead, erases all of your data and resets the settings back to what they were when it first came out of the box. This is generally the first thing any customer support team will tell you to do to try and fix an issue, but besides fixing issues, a reset is also quite handy right before you sell your device, too (unless you like it when other people use your accounts to make purchases etc. then by all means, don’t).

After that, it’ll erase and reboot. You can then go through the normal setup process by uninstalling and reinstalling the Android Wear app on your companion Android phone. Then you’ll repair it with the watch and be back to a nice squeaky clean device. Done!
