How to Disable the LED Notifications on the LG G3

Maybe you’re sensitive to light? Maybe you just had a rough night out and that flashing G3 LED is driving you insane? Or maybe you just don’t want anyone else to know if you’ve received a notification? Regardless of your possibly questionable reasoning, LG does give you the option to disable the LED notification on the LG G3 if you feel like it.

All you need to do is head into the settings where you can then adjust remove certain notifications from triggering the LED light or turn it off entirely. Here’s how to find the settings.

1. Pull down the Notification Shade and tap the gear in the top right to get to Settings.

Pull Down Notification

2. Tap Display.

Tap Display

3. Tap Notification LED.

Tap Notification LED

4. Check on or off the items you want to use the notification LED.

Check Notifications

5. You can also tap Off at the top to turn it off completely.

Tap Off

And viola! No more lights. Did you need this really badly? Let me know in the comments if it helped you and why exactly you needed it (if you don’t mind sharing).

First of all Thank You for posting this. The LED notification is awful! I have turned it off but I could only do it by

which I already HAD OFF!! So then I clicked on it and turned it on and unchecked all of my aps. IT IS STILL FLASHING! I turned off the phone and everything, I have no idea why I cant turn this darned thing OFF. Nothing is checked any longer. I had my son look at it too. We cant figure out why it is still flashing. 🙁
