How to Unroot the Kyocera Hydro Life (T-Mobile)(MetroPCS)

Maybe you’ve had enough playing with your rooted Kyocera Hydro Life? Maybe you want to go back to the unrooted state? Either way, this guide should help you unroot your device.

Unrooting is the process of removing root access, a custom recovery (if you have one), and just trying to get the device back to as close to stock as possible.

Some of the reasons for unrooting your Kyocera Hydro Life are:

  • Sending in the device for warranty (most, but not all unrooting procedures reinstate the manufacturer warranty if you had one before rooting).
  • Starting over (simply undoing everything you did while rooted so you can have a clean slate to start over).
  • Fix any issues (Maybe rooting messed something up? No problem, unrooting will take care of it for you).

Ready to get started? Here’s how to unroot the Kyocera Hydro Life:

I. Before You Begin

1. You should’ve rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you didn’t use it to root your device, this procedure may or may not work for you.

2. This doesn’t flash the stock firmware on your device. This only removes root-access from your device.

II. Unrooting the Kyocera Hydro Life (T-Mobile)(MetroPCS)

1. Open SuperSU app on your device by tapping on its icon in your App Drawer.

2. Tap on Settings.

4. It should begin unrooting your device.

5. When it’s done, reboot your device.

    1. This is an unrooting procedure and not an unlocking procedure (both are different things). You may want to contact an unlock code supplier who can provide you with a code to unlock your device.

      Thanks!
