How to Root the Huawei U8230

Huawei U8230 was launched in the days when Android Eclair considered to be the latest version of the Android OS. Even though it’s been about three years, the device hasn’t been able to get any firmware upgrades, very sad thing for its users. However, to make you smile, a root method has become available for the device allowing you to play around with root-only apps on your device. This will definitely keep you with your device for at least some time, here’s how you can root your Huawei U8230 smartphone:

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. Make sure your device has at least 50% of battery life left.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. z4Root APK (It’s attached in the first post)

III. Rooting the Huawei U8230:

1. Download and place the z4Root APK onto your Desktop.

2. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.

3. Copy the z4Root APK over to the root of your SD card.

4. Once it’s been copied, disconnect your device from your PC.

5. Head to Menu>>Settings>>Applications on your device and enable the Unknown sources option.

6. Open the File Manager app on your device and install the z4Root APK.

7. Once the app’s been installed, launch it from your App Drawer.

8. Hit Permanent Root button in the app and it’ll start rooting your device.

9. Once you’re rooted, reboot your device.

10. You’re all done!
