  1. On the HTCdev site for unlocking the bootloader, which phone do we pick? There is the Evo 4G+ (Korea Telecom) and the EVO View 4G…but I don’t think either of these are the correct phone (the one you’ve listed in this article). Did you pick “all other supported models”?

  2. Alexander Evo 4G

I was glad when finally superuser was installed, but after rebooting… it is the same… Uuuuh! How about pc36img.zip from common folder? Why it doesn’t work on 2.18 hboot? Though I’m happy to see my phone unlocked!

  3. Trying to unlock bootloader on my evo, cant get past step 7.

a lot of files missing, poor instructions are leading me in circles, any help would be great.

    1. I know that the instructions say otherwise, but you need to extract (Using WinRAR or 7zip) to a folder. Hold shift and right-click the folder and select “Open Command Window Here”. I can’t get the command to work.

      1. Hello The Guy,

The instructions clearly say that you should extract files (not folders) from archive over to your Desktop and make sure you’ve the fastboot.exe file available on your Desktop.

  4. At step 11 when i chose recovery. my phone went to the a screen with a phone and a triangle. Now it wont turn on at all. I believe it may be bricked. help please

    1. Did you follow all the steps carefully? A device could only brick if you missed a step or you didn’t do it properly.

Try flashing the stock firmware and then root the device.

      Hope it helps!
