How to Root the Huawei Ideos X5 U8800
ShortFuse has really made rooting Android phones easier. All you need is an utility, called SuperOneClick, and you’re almost ready to root your device. However, there’re some devices that are compatible with this root method and the Huawei Ideos X5 U8800 is one of them. Being in the compatible phones list, you can easily inject the Superuser and BusyBox to your device and enjoy the root access. Here’s how you can root your Huawei Ideos X5 U8800 smartphone using One-Click Method.
I. Before You Begin:
1. The following procedure is tested to work on Android 2.2 Froyo. You should try on this version only.
2. You must have Drivers for your Device installed on your PC.
II. Downloading Required Files;
1. SuperOneClick (Download link’s given in the first post)
III. Rooting the Huawei Ideos X5 U8800:
1. Download and place the SuperOneClick package on your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the SuperOneClick archive to your Desktop. You can use WinRAR to do so.
3. Pick-up your device and enable USB debugging on it. Head to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Developemetn>>USB debugging, tick-mark the box.
4. Connect the device to your PC using the USB cable.
5. Right-click on the SuperOneClick executable file and choose Run as administrator.
6. From the main interface of the tool, hit the Root button.
7. The rooting process should begin and you will be able to see the current process on your screen.
8. You’re now rooted !
There you go! Your device’s now rooted using the One-Click Method and I don’t think it took more than a few minutes to complete.
