well, I’ll keep checking, I haven’t been able to get the rooting procedure to work on my tmobile lg G2x, the SuperOneClick does get to the “waitfordevice” then just freezes up. I’ve tried the other options, PDAnet and installing the sdk, but it hasn’t worked, the program just continues to freeze up. I really don’t want to give in the extortion that tmobile and LG is trying to force on us by deciding to not update the G2x with ICS, so I’ll keep trying to find a way to root. |

Ok, few things to check: 1. Is that USB Debugging is ON on the phone? Good luck! |

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682 This is the link I used when using the super one click method. It worked for me on 3 devices…longest it took was 7 minutes when rooting Epic Touch and Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 |

I’m also having trouble with my Moto Droid 1…tried with both Motorolaoneclickroot and superoneclick (I even tried PDAnet and RSDLite when I ran into problems, thinking something was wrong with the rooting process). Both seem successful in giving me root access (I have a “superuser” app on the phone). I keep getting errors on the next step, though. I installed ROM manager to install Cyanogenmod, but I keep getting error messages and the install is interrupted, can’t complete. I’m no computer expert, and don’t know what to try next. I should say, I’m rooting to try to get rid of some of the stuff Verizon stuck me with. I’m really low on internal memory, and have a number of programs that need to be there that I can’t move or delete (I’ve removed many I would have preferred to keep). Thanks for any help. |

Well if you have root their are a number of things you can do to remove the bloatware Verizon stuck you with. Download Root Uninstaller from the market place and start removing programs. You will only be able to back up 3 things because it is the trial version…now if you have the black market app that will be a different story. If odin can be used to flash a custom rom try that method if available…I have not rooted any Verizon phones. |
