wasted a day in my life following a lockr guide to rooting a mytouch 3g..yes, all good until you try to load a custom rom..I guess they forgot about S-on…damn them

can’t root the LG Revolution running 2.2.2
i have seen others say they can using one click..if a video could be posted that would be great..
if i can get past the “waiting for device” then it gets all the way to remount and then “FAILED”

before the failed remount i also get “failed to set prot mask” (inappropriate ioctl for device)

did you do the update? if so you will have to somehow manage to flash it back before the update.
the newest update for it is to block the phone from being rooted

enable debug then tun off the phone go to the program super one clickroot but dont do nothing on til … plug the phone up to the commpter tun the phone on and clik on the commpter root peml… then u will see some thing goneing on

Can’t root the HTC MyTouch 3G Slide. Need some help here. What are some ways that I can root my phone? It is running on Android 2.2.1 (Fro(zen)Yo(gurt)). I try to use SuperOneClick, but when I click root, it does all the stuff (good) until I get to the pop-up saying [BusyBox was not found on your phone. Install it?] I clicked yes, but when it says ‘Installing BusyBox…’ it waits for 2 seconds (literally) and then says ‘FAILED’, so don’t try that too much. What should I do now? I REALLY want to root my phone, but I have no instructions that I followed that worked! D-:
