So according to a source over at BGR, someone over at a French blog has screen shots of 2.1 (no not 2.0, 2.1) running on their HTC Hero. This can’t help but raise the question as to when HTC will even release their 2.0 version for the HTC Heroes of the world (or if they will skip it and goto this mysterious 2.1).

Another thing to note is how quickly Google seems to be churning out these updated OS versions. Makes you think they are betting on Android a whole lot. Does the new Google Phone have something to do with this? 😉 Probably.

    some of the devs from xda have been messing with 2.1 hero for about a week now… anyone following them on twitter would know whats going on with it..

      Ha ya, want me to? Hmmm, just might.
      FYI I used it on my Hero and it works but its a bit buggy still (sure that will be fixed with updates). Might wait until they have a version with a working Market for instance before I do a how to. Or do you guys want me to do it now and then you can just upgrade the version when the dev releases it?

    Just tried out some of the 2.1 Hero builds, very beta but very promising the future of Android looks awesome. Things are getting better every day.

    hmm… i want 2.1 soo bad, but i’ve never used the SDK or anything like that so when i read the instruction its just bla bla bla.. HELP!!!

      Just follow our How to Root procedures and load the 2.1 ROM, we have instructional videos, You cant go wrong 🙂 if any issues come up just post them in the technical support forums.

    So if we want to try out the 2.1 right now is it just to update it like usual?
    Don’t clearely understand the rooting (even if i did it yesterday) 🙂

      Ha, yes that is correct. You would upgrade same as any ROM (read the How To Load a Custom ROM procedure for your phone first).
