Boygeniusreport found what seems to be the same display they found in a leak not too long back that is claiming to be the new iPhone 4G’s display.
The only things you can really tell about the display, according to BGR, are:
1. It seems to still be LCD
2. It seems to be about 3.7″
3. It makes the phone about 1 mm taller
4. The glass, LCD panels, and digitizer are all glued together so replacing a cracked screen becomes replacing the entire unit.
And that’s about it as far as this goes, that is, if it is even really the iPhone’s display. But one thing I can tell from this (again if it is the real iPhone’s display) is that the display is not going to be a huge factor in the new phone. Still LCD when everything is going to AMOLED, and 3.7″ when everything is already 3.7″ or larger. iPhone fans will just have to wait and see what other hardware and software set the newer iPhone appart from it’s predecessors.
Here’s the video in mention:
(Although, these little changes might be enough for people to grab one, I mean remember the differences between iPhone 2G and 3G? A hair thinner, GPS and 3G added. Difference between iPhone 3G and 3GS? Â Bumped up the processor, RAM, camera to 3.15MP instead of 2MP and then added 7.2 3G instead of 3.6 3G. So iPhone 4G might be a bump in processor again, RAM, screen size, camera, and 4G instead of 7.2 3G maybe? What do you think?)
