So pictures of the HTC Desire HD (as it’s being called for now) showed up a couple of days ago, and now a video shows up. The video doesn’t show any of the software (which is rumored to be Android 2.2, no word yet on HTC Sense or not, but its a safe bet to say yes), but it does show you some of the styling and camera flash. Take a look for yourself.

As for specs of the phone, the rumored ones so far are:

8MP Camera with Dual LED Flash
720P Video Recording
4.3″ Screen with WVGA Resolution
Running Android 2.2

So my guess is this is going to be the GSM cousin of the Evo, question is though, is it coming to the USA with any US 3G specs or is it strictly headed overseas? Anyone on T-Mobile or AT&T kinda hoping for your 3G frequencies?

EDIT: Wonder what they are blurring out at the top corner? Maybe a carrier name?

    Cool device…i still consider 4.3 inch a lil cumbersome. Wish HTC will settle for 4.0 inch screens for phones as max. The N1 with the 3.7 inch feels perfect in ur hand..a lil bump to 4.0 will still give u that perfect feel. These are phones not tablets…reserve those very huge screens for Htc tablets. Hope they make a 4.0 inch device with stock Android, dual core 1.5 Gig snapdragon, 1Gig Rom/Ram each, abt 16Gig internal storage plus 32Gig micro sd slot, dobly digital sound w/ dual speakers (very important for super smart devices these days), 3G / 3.5G/ 4G switchable. Ofcuz incorporate all the new Google goodies. Also we all know HTC is the leader in cranking up smart Android n Windows devices…as such they need plenty of screens. It is time to start looking on investing on screen technology. They shud check out the work done by University of Michigan on LCD displays and also that done by Univ of Florida with carbon nanotubes n vertical stacking technique…maybe invest to further that research to their benifit. For some reason Samsung is playing hardball w/ their Amoled n Super Amoled screens. Read Engadget aug 27th 2010.
