Meet the newest Android member of the AT&T family, the Motorola Flipout.  If you are on AT&T and would like a different form factor while not missing out on the goodies that Android brings, the Flipout might just be the one for you.

For features, the Flipout supports triband HSPA and quadband GSM/EDGE networks and runs on Android 2.1 with a customized version of MotoBLUR to accommodate for its unique pivot-out form factor and QWERTY keyboard outlay.  The display falls short of the big league with just a 2.8 inch QVGA resolution multitouch screen but you can still find the standard set of features including GPS navigation with enhanced compass, WiFi, radio, Bluetooth with A2DP support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and 512MB of internal storage with a microSD slot to augment that up to 32GB, although Motorola is bundling an abysmal 2GB microSD card with the handset.

The Motorola Flipout is available right now on AT&T and goes for $99.99 (after a $50 mail-in rebate) on a new two-year agreement, which actually seems reasonable for a mid-segment Android device.

    The only thing i like about this phone is that tiny d pad looking thing in the lower left corner! If this had a snap dragon you could play all your ems!

    • lol. This phone reminds of those little electronic key-chain pet things. Like it has tiny buttons and a super small screen. The only thing its missing is the key-chain so you can attach it to your keys or some backpack lol.

      But really who is this phone really made for, like a $150 is device is a bit to give to some kid and the keyboard is way to small compare to most all new phones with a keyboard. and the thing is not really tech savvy because its already out of date before it even was first announced as a rumor.
