Motorola Citrus available on Verizon from tomorrow

For those looking for a low-end Android solution for their smartphone needs, here’s one ideal candidate that should fit your pocket.  Motorola has announced that the Motorola Citrus, a budget-minded Android-powered device, will be making its debut on Verizon tomorrow.  The phone features a 3-inch multitouch display and runs the Android 2.1 operating system, Eclair.  It has 100MB of onboard memory with a bundled 2GB microSD card, which can be swapped for up to 32GB of extra space.  Other features include the usual set of GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and there’s a 3.15mpx lens in the mix too.  Pretty standard but what is notable though is that the body of the Citrus is made from 25% post-consumer recycled plastic, so this one’s easy on the pocket and the earth too.

The Motorola Citrus WX445 will be available starting tomorrow at a price of $49.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate (in the form of a debit card) with a new two-year contract.
