HTC has finally released the official 2.2 update to the MyTouch Slide on T-Mobile. It will not be coming as an OTA, instead you can manually install it via the instruction on their website.

For you rooted users, you are probably already running a custom ROM with Froyo (or Gingerbread even) so there is NO REASON to install this OTA and if you try it will most likely fail to install. This update is for those super patient individuals that never rooted and are sitting with stock 2.1.

    I installed this after root just fine. It unroots your phone and I have read somewhere that it locks your phone to not being able to root again. I have not tried it yet.
