According to TMoNews, some users are reporting that after sending in their G2’s for warranty reasons, they are getting replacements running Gingerbread. Must be a bit of a surprise, right? Well, for those of you with working G2’s that don’t need replacing, I think you can take this as an omen that the Gingerbread update is coming relatively soon.
Of course, if you’ve rooted your phone and are running a custom ROM, you most likely already have Gingerbread so you guys can just smile smugly.
