How to Root the LG Optimus Vu P895

Just picked up a brand-new LG Optimus Vu P895 and heard from your friends that rooting it will let you do more with your device? It will, of course. Once you’ve root-access on your device, you will be able to access plethora of root-only apps and even modify the system files, your device will fully be under your control. If this sounds good to you and you’re interested in rooting your device, then check out the following guide.

I. Before You Begin:

1. Rooting your device will void its warranty. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. This works on Windows based PCs only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. SuperOneClick (Download the latest version of the app)

III. Rooting the LG Optimus Vu P895:

1. Download and place the SuperOneClick archive onto your Desktop.

2. Unzip files from the archive over to your Desktop.

3. Turn ON the USB debugging function on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Developer options>>USB debugging.

4. Once enabled, connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.

5. Double-click on the SuperOneClick executable file and it’ll launch.

6. Hit Root button in the app and it’ll start rooting your device.

7. Within a few seconds, your device will be rooted.

8. And you’re done!

Awesome! Your Optimus Vu has been successfully rooted and is now capable to be loaded with root-only apps!

To the author, did you even root the phone before posting this? OR, did you posted this article from general knowledge of rooting other (LG) phones using the same process?
Google shouldn’t have shown this site. Fail!
