Just like most browsers save the history of the websites you visit, Windows 8 saves the history of Metro applications you open on your PC. If this history becomes too large over the time, you should consider deleting it. By doing so, you’ll be able to increase the overall performance of your PC and there’ll be no junk files on your drives. So, here’s how you can do that:
I. Deleting the Application History in Windows 8:
1. Press the Windows Logo+I keys together and a menu will pop-up in the right-hand side.
2. Simply click on Change PC settings and it’ll take you to the settings page.
3. Navigate to the General tab and then click on Delete history under the App switching heading.
4. You’re done!
Great! The application history has just been cleared on your PC!
