How to Reset Flash Counter on the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2
Worried about the flash counter on your Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 that has increased after you flashed some files? Worry not, as there’s now a simple way available to reset the flash counter on your device. This will reset the counter to zero and bring back the warranty of your device, here’s how:
I. Before You Begin:
1. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. Check out our How to Root the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 procedure to root your device.
2. You must have CWM Recovery installed on your device. See our guide on the same to learn how to flash it on your device.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Reset Counter (It’s attached in the first post)
III. Resetting Flash Counter on the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2:
1. Place the Reset Counter archive onto your Desktop.
2. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
3. Copy the Reset Counter archive over to the root of your SD card.
4. Once it’s been copied, disconnect your device from your PC.
5. Now head on over to Google Play and download and install the Quick Boot app on your device.
6. Once the app’s been installed, launch it from your App Drawer.
7. Hit Recovery option in the app and your device will reboot into the Recovery mode.
8. From the Recovery menu, select install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip from sdcard.
9. Choose the Reset Counter zip to be flashed on your device.
10. It’ll start flashing the zip on your device
11. Once the zip has been flashed, reboot your device.
12. You’re all done!
