How to Flash a Custom Recovery on the Karbonn A15

Good news fellas! ClockworkMod Recovery’s available for our beloved Karbonn A15 smartphone. This means that you’ll now be able to enjoy a number of custom ROMs on your device as well as flash any custom mods available for your device. A custom recovery brings with it a lot of cool features that you never had on your stock recovery. Sounds good? huh. So go ahead and flash this custom recovery on your Karbonn A15:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must be rooted before you can do this procedure. Please head to our How to Root the Karbonn A15 procedure, finish it, then come back to this one and continue.

2. You should have appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, download the latest drivers from here.

3. This procedure should work on Windows based PCs only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Recovery Package (Download link’s available in the first post)

III. Flashing a Custom Recovery on the Karbonn A15:

1. Download and place the Recovery Package on your Desktop.

2. Extract files from the package over to your Desktop.

3. Enable the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Developer options>>USB debugging.

4. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.

5. Double-click on CWM Recovery.bat and follow the on-screen instructions.

6. You should have a custom recovery up and running on your device now!

7. You’re all set!

Excellent! Your Karbonn A15 has been successfully equipped with CWM Recovery and you should now be able to flash custom ROMs and Mods on your device!
