How to Add LED Flash Notifications to the iPhone (Video)

As I mentioned in video on how to create custom vibrations on your iPhone, which you can click below to check out, collectively I think we are all getting a bit adverse to our phones making noise.

But what if you noise is really the problem and you just want more of a visual cue when you get notifications?

Well, iOS actually has a setting that can allow you to have the camera’s LED flash, well, flash whenever you get a notification.

Enable LED Flash Notifications

  1. Head to Settings.
    Settings
  2. Tap on General.
    General
  3. Tap on Accessibility.

  4. Turn on LED flash alerts.

After that, you’ll get a pretty bright flashing of the LED instead of your normal notification.

And there you a quick tip for anyone wanting to be notified with their eyes instead of their ears. Probably also good if you are in a loud place like a bar, just be careful as it is pretty bright and if it’s a dark bar as most bars generally are it has great potential to annoy everyone around you.

Let me know in the comments if any of you guys would use or already use this lesser known feature and also please let me know what you think of this video and what other videos you’d like to see me do (problems you’d like me to solve or other tips and tricks you think others should know about).
