How to Add a Weather Widget to your Lock Screen in iOS 7 (Video)

Cydget is great jailbreak tweak that allows you to essentially add widgets to your iOS 7 lock screen (like rising bars instead of a clock, for example). Today we have a jailbreak tweak that uses Cydget to display a fantastic looking weather widget on your lock screen called iOS 7 LockScreen Weather . This weather widget shows you the forecast, temperature, and all the other things you’d expect to want to know about your current weather situation. Here’s how to install and use iOS 7 LockScreen Weather.

I. Jailbreak your iPhone/iPad

1. To do this procedure you must be jailbroken. If you aren’t, you can head to our How to Jailbreak iOS 7.0.6 (the latest version at the time of writing this). Once done with that procedure and you have Cydia installed, head back here to continue.

II. Install Cydget

1. Open Cydia.

2. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.

3. Type in Cydget.

4. Tap on Cydget when it shows up.

5. Tap Install in the top right corner.

6. Tap Confirm on the top right corner.

7. Tap Restart.

III. Install iOS 7 LockScreen Weather

1. Open Cydia.

2. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.

3. Type in iOS 7 LockScreen Weather.

4. Tap on iOS 7 LockScreen Weather when it shows up.

5. Tap Purchase at the top right and follow the prompts to login and purchase using your preferred method.

6. Tap Close when you’ve paid.

7. Tap Install where Purchase used to be.

8. Tap Confirm

9. Tap Return to Cydia.

IV. Install Widget Weather

1. Open Cydia (if it isn’t still open from the section above).

2. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.

3. Type in Widget Weather.

4. Tap on Widget Weather when it shows up.

5. Tap Install in the top right corner.

6. Tap Confirm on the top right corner.

7. Tap Restart.

V. Configure iOS 7 LockScreen Weather

1. Go to Settings > iOS 7 LockScreen Weather to configure the settings.

2. Go to Settings > Widget Weather and tap on Location to turn it on.

3. Go to Settings > Cydget and select iOS 7 LockScreen Weather.
