Adobe Announces Flash for Everyone! One of these days…

adobe-logo“Does this phone support Flash?” “Can I goto YouTube without using some YouTube program?” “Does the internet look like it does on my computer?”

For most phones the answer to this questions is a resounding “No”. And the reasoning behind the No is the fact that most phones just don’t support Flash. YouTube runs on Flash, most embeded videos, banners, and a lot of games  also run on Flash so without Flash support in the a phone, the phone simply cannot run these things.

But there is some hope, Adobe, the makers of Flash, have just announced that they have been working hard on getting Flash to work on multiple major phone operating systems (Apple, Blackberry, Palm, Windows Mobile, and Symbian, have all been announced).

So sounds to me like maybe we shouldn’t be asking the phone manufacturer’s to “put Flash into their phones”, but we need to be patiently waiting for Adobe to support phones. Well, we’ve waited this long, what’s another few months… hurry up Adobe.
