How to Fix the iOS 11.1 i Glitch (Video)

Figured I’d quickly do a video to show people how to fix the iOS 11.1 i glitch.

If you aren’t familiar iOS 11.1 has a pretty nasty glitch that causes autocorrect to turn your lowercase “i” into an A and a Unicode symbol that shows up as a question mark instead of capitalizing it to “I”.

Apple has said they’ll fix it with an update but they give a workaround to help in the meantime. Here’s how to do it.

Head to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement and tap the plus sign at the top right.

In Phrase put I and in shortcut put i and then hit Save.

Basically, we’re overriding autocorrect to make sure it does what it should have in the first place.

Hope that helped some people!
