HTC One M8 Camera Walkthrough (Video)

In my overly thorough walkthrough of Sense 6.0, the latest version of HTC’s UI skin for Android that launched on the new HTC One M8, I left out one thing; the camera. There was a good reason though. The new HTC One M8’s camera setup is unlike anything we’ve seen on an Android device. In fact, it has some people pretty confused. Instead of just one high-megapixel camera on the back for taking pictures, there are two, modest, 4MP cameras. Add to that the inclusion of a higher, 5MP camera on the front of the device and you can see why people aren’t sure what to make of it all.

It’s because of this unique (semi-clever in fact) setup, that I figured it deserved it’s own video walkthrough of what the cameras are for, how they work, and a simple review of the photos/videos they take.

So even with the lower MP (that arguably aren’t that big of a deal), what do you think of the unique camera setup on the new HTC One M8? And is it enough to keep you from going for the Galaxy S5 and it’s 16MP shooter?

    1. Hello, the spec sheet I have from HTC says “dual 4mp camera setup” hence the statement. If you have something that’s shows differently please share it. Thanks!
