How to Root the Sony Xperia XA Ultra

The Sony Xperia XA Ultra comes from Sony’s X series of phones which is company’s latest lineup for smartphones after the Z series. The phone has been priced at quite an affordable rate and features some of the really nice features such as a 6″ inch screen, an Octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 21.5MP primary camera.

On the software side, the device runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow but the company has promised the device will get the Nougat update very soon. While Marshmallow runs really great and provides almost all the features you would expect from an Android device, there are still many things that can be added to it using root.

By rooting your Sony Xperia XA Ultra, you can have the so-called root-only apps running on your device. These apps provide more features than the normal apps you get from the Play Store. Not only that, but root also lets you flash a custom ROM on your device that changes the entire appearance of your device and makes it something it never was. Also, it lets you remove the stock apps from your device that you don’t use but have occupied a large chunk of your device’s memory space.

Rooting the Sony Xperia XA Ultra is not as difficult as you think. In fact, it’s as easy as running a simple command from a command prompt window and then flashing a file.
