How to Change Your iPhone’s Carrier Logo in iOS 7 (Video)
Perhaps you’re sick of looking at the words “AT&T” or “T-Mobile” or whatever other carrier name is at the top of the screen. You know what carrier you have (and are reminded every month by a bill in the mail) so why do you need to stare at it all day long?! A jailbreak tweak called Zeppelin can solve that dilemma by allowing you to select a custom icon to use in place of the carrier name. Oh, and did I mention there are over 900 icons in the Cydia store you can download from other developers to use with Zeppelin? With that much development, I’m sure you can probably find at least one to suite your tastes. Here’s how to change your iPhone’s carrier logo using Zeppelin.
I. Jailbreak your iPhone/iPad
To do this procedure you must be jailbroken. If you aren’t, you can head to our Jailbreak How To’s section and pick the jailbreak for your version of iOS (currently at the time of writing this is 7.0.4). Once done with that procedure and you have Cydia installed, head back here to continue.
II. Install Zeppelin
1. Open Cydia.
2. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.
3. Type in Zeppelin.
4. Tap on Zeppelin when it shows up.
5. Tap Install at the top right.
6. Tap Restart.
III. Select a New Icon
1. Go to Settings.
2. Go to Zeppelin.
3. Tap on Theme.
4. Choose a new icon to replace the carrier logo at the top of the phone.
IV. Add New Icons to Zeppelin
1. Open Cydia.
2. Tap on Sections.
3. Tap on Addons (Zeppelin).
4. Choose from the icons there and tap one.
5. Tap Install at the top right.
6. Tap Return to Cydia.
7. Go to Settings.
8. Go to Zeppelin.
9. Tap Theme.
10. The new icons you installed should appear there as choosable. Tap the one you want.
11. Repeat section IV to add new icons until your heart’s content.
No more looking at that carrier name!
