How to Thoroughly Clean Up your iPhone / iPad on iOS 7 (Video)
Storage space is a constant issue for iPhone and iPad users it seems. A lot of this comes down to pictures and app data that has been carried over from older iPhones and iPads that gets put back on the new device whenever they sync it. You can use our video to backup your pictures and delete the ones on your device, but there is still a lot of other data you can get back by cleaning up other spots of your storage.
A jailbreak tweak called iCleaner Pro is pretty good at sniffing out storage that is being used unnecessarily and cleaning it up. Here’s how to install it and use it to thoroughly clean up your iPhone or iPad.
I. Jailbreak your iPhone/iPad
To do this procedure you must be jailbroken. If you aren’t, you can head to our Jailbreak How To’s section and pick the jailbreak for your version of iOS (currently at the time of writing this is 7.0.4). Once done with that procedure and you have Cydia installed, head back here to continue.
II. Add iCleaner Pro Repo to Cydia
1. Open Cydia.
2. Tap on Manage at the bottom.
3. Tap on Sources.
4. Tap on Edit at the top right.
5. Tap on Add at the top left.
6. Enter the following into the text field that appears and hit Add Source when done.

7. Tap Return to Cydia.
III. Install iCleaner Pro
1. Open Cydia (if it isn’t still open from the section above).
2. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.
3. Type in iCleaner Pro.
4. Tap on iCleaner Pro when it shows up and make sure it says a version higher than 8.X.X (i.e. 8.0.7 at the time of writing this).
5. Tap Install in the top right corner.
6. Tap Restart.
III. Setup iCleaner Pro
1. Open iCleaner Pro.
2. Select all of the options you want cleaned up and click clean.
3. Here’s an explanation of some of the options you can choose from:
Message Attachments – Cleans up photos/videos you may have received via MMS or iMessage. Turning it on smart has it only delete the ones that are not currently visible in a message, while On will delete all of them.
Safari – Deletes unused Safari data from the browser.
Applications & Cydia – Deletes app data that isn’t needed.
Your version is not accurate. Icleaner is not up to 8.x at all. The most recent version is 7.1 3-3.
What are you meaning with the “make sure you are using version 8.x and above?
