How to Take Notes without Leaving Your Current App in iOS 7 (Video)
NoteCreator lets you bring up a window where you can type down a note and save it automatically to your iPhone’s Notes app. As added convenience, you can choose where and how the window appears. For example, you can set NoteCreator to only appear from the home screen or on top of an open app, and allocate a certain action, like a three-fingered tap, to bring up the NoteCreator window.
I. Jailbreak your iPhone/iPad
To do this procedure you must be jailbroken. If you aren’t, you can head to our Jailbreak How To’s section and pick the jailbreak for your version of iOS (currently at the time of writing this is 7.0.4). Once done with that procedure and you have Cydia installed, head back here to continue.
II. Install NoteCreator
1. Open Cydia (if it isn’t still open from the section above).
2. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.
3. Type in NoteCreator.
4. Tap on NoteCreator when it shows up.
5. Tap Install in the top right corner.
6. Tap Confirm on the top right corner.
7. Tap Reboot Springboard, which will restart your phone.
III. Configure NoteCreator
1. Tap Settings.
2. Scroll down to NoteCreator and tap it.
3. Toggle on or off the options you want.
- Title Field on Top lets you add a title to your note from the NoteCreator window.
- Auto Trigger Keyboard will bring up the keyboard automatically (without having to tap the text field).
- Save on Cancel allows you to save your note, even if you press cancel.
IV. Use NoteCreator
1. Open Activator.
2. Tap a location from which you want NoteCreator to launch. It can be from anywhere (such as within apps, or from the home screen, or both).
3. Select a gesture or action that will activate NoteCreator and bring up a small window you can type notes in.
4. Once you’ve written something, tap Done on the top right of the NoteCreator window to save your note into your iPhone’s Notes app.
