How to Add “Show in Finder” Feature to Spotlight in iOS 7 (Video)
Thanks to a jailbreak tweak developer, you can now have that “show in finder” functionality found in OS X on your Mac carried over to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 7. The tweak is free and requires no setup. Simply install it and then you have the new found power to be able to hold down on any result in Spotlight (you know, the feature that lets you search when you swipe down on any homescreen on your phone) to have it take you to where on your device that app is located instead of just opening the app automatically.
Honestly, not sure why exactly you would want this except to find an app icon so you can then move it to a new location, but, hell, it’s a free tweak! Enjoy!
I. Jailbreak your iPhone/iPad
1. To do this procedure you must be jailbroken. If you aren’t, you can head to our How to Jailbreak iOS 7.0.6 (the latest version at the time of writing this). Once done with that procedure and you have Cydia installed, head back here to continue.
II. Install Icon Finder
1. Open Cydia.
2. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.
3. Type in Icon Finder.
4. Tap on Icon Finder when it shows up.
5. Tap Install at the top right.
6. Tap Restart.
III. Use Icon Finder
1. No setup required. Just pull down on your homescreen to open Spotlight.
2. Search for an app.
3. Tap and hold on the result to have it show you the location of that app.
