How to Fully Customize Folders in iOS 7 (Video)

Ever thought you’d be able to put a folder WITHIN a folder? Well, with this jailbreak tweak called FolderEnhancer, you not only do that, but you can also change the amount of icons in each folder and more. Have I blown your mind yet? Check out the video below for how to get the tweak installed and how to use it to customize the folders on your iPhone or iPad running iOS 7.

I. Jailbreak your iPhone/iPad

1. To do this procedure you must be jailbroken. If you aren’t, you can head to our Jailbreak How To’s section and pick the jailbreak for your version of iOS (currently at the time of writing this is 7.0.5). Once done with that procedure and you have Cydia installed, head back here to continue.

II. Install FolderEnhancer for iOS 7

1. Open Cydia.

2. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.

3. Type in FolderEnhancer for iOS 7.

4. Tap on FolderEnhancer for iOS 7 when it shows up.

5. Tap Purchase at the top right and follow the prompts to login and purchase using your preferred method.

6. Tap Close when you’ve paid.

7. Tap Install where Purchase used to be.

8. Tap Confirm.

9. Tap Restart.

III. Setup FolderEnhancer for iOS 7

1. Go to Settings.

2. Tap on FolderEnhancer.

3. Change the options as you see fit:

• Allow Nested Folders – Allows you to put a folder within a folder. Mind. Blown.
• Close All Folders – Forces all of the folders to close after either opening an app or pushing the home button.
• Effect – Remove the wallpaper zoom and/or animations effects for folders.
• Folder Preview Layout – Choose the number of rows/columns you want to see of icons when the folder is not open but is on the homescreen.
• Icon Layout – Choose the number of rows/columns you want for icons inside the folder once you open it.

4. Tap Respring at the top left if it appears and wait for it to restart, otherwise just hit home to see the new changes.
