How to Stop the Low Battery Alert in iOS 7 (Video)
The friendly reminder that pops up at 20, 15, 10 and 5% battery levels is helpful, but there have been several instances when it brusquely interrupts a Netflix streaming session. I understand it’s in our best interest to plug in our devices to charge, but is it urgent enough to alert us with a popup smack bang in the middle of the screen, forcing us to stop whatever we’re doing to press “Ok” to get rid of the popup? If you said “No,” this tweak is for you. NoLowPowerAlert is a simple, free tweak that eliminates that low battery popup. It’s so simple, there aren’t even any configurations. All you need to do is download, install, and enjoy.
I. Jailbreak your iPhone/iPad
To do this procedure you must be jailbroken. If you aren’t, you can head to our Jailbreak How To’s section and pick the jailbreak for your version of iOS (currently at the time of writing this is 7.0.4). Once done with that procedure and you have Cydia installed, head back here to continue.
II. Install NoLowPowerAlert
1. Open Cydia (if it isn’t still open from the section above).
2. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.
3. Type in NoLowPowerAlert.
4. Tap on NoLowPowerAlert when it shows up.
5. Tap Install in the top right corner.
6. Tap Confirm in the top right corner.
7. Tap Restart.
III. Use NoLowPowerAlert
1. There are no configurations for this tweak, it starts working automatically after your phone has installed it and restarted.
- Simply wait till your battery reaches 20% to notice that the alert popups do not appear anymore.
